One of the most important goals of 2007 was achieved as GNG became a Parks Partner with SF Parks Trust. Aligning the group with a respected fiscal sponsor was the first step in moving forward to revitalize the hillside. The Parks Partner program offers guidance in grant writing and fundraising, financial services, insurance, and administrative support.
The funds from grant awards and GNG's fundraising projects for 2008 will be used to install a water meter. With water in place, the next phase will be landscape design, irrigation installation and then the native plant restoration.
Updates will be posted regarding two of GNG's 2008 fundraisors, the Spring Plant Sale and a 5K run in McLaren this fall. We have just completed our first grant application and are anxiously awaiting the decision.
